HONOLULU, May 17, 2024 - Hawaiian Electric crews will replace two utility poles along Farrington Highway near Kahe Power Plant on Wednesday, May 22, impacting traffic in both directions between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The work, which requires using a crane and multiple bucket trucks, will partially close the far-right lanes in both directions approaching Kahe Power Plant.

Special duty police and flagmen will assist with onsite traffic control. Arrow boards, safety signs and traffic cones will mark the work area and direct motorists to the open traveling lanes.

Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds when approaching and passing the work zone and should expect traffic delays.
